Our BJJ Podcast

Not one, not two, but three pieces of news for you this week.

Our Podcast

The first episode of our podcast goes out today at 12pm. This is a new venture of Kyuzo’s, well sort of anyway. We had a podcast of sorts on Soundcloud before covid, and during covid I did some stuff from home to keep the flag flying. But this one comes from our new studio area in the gym. We’re investing in stuff as we go like improved mics and equipment, but this is us for now, and I hope you enjoy it.

Our New Schedule

It’s not that much different from the last schedule, but it’s got a few key differences. I never realised that so many people preferred training at 6.30pm, so the main classes are on at that time from herein. I’m a man of the people!

The second thing is that there’s a sparring session on each and every night. It replaces the competition sessions, and is open to everyone who likes to train the way I like to train.

Check out the schedule on our front page. Remember our Foundations Class is the one to check out if you’re a beginner to this game.

Sketch, it’s the Gardaí!

I’ll be teaching a session with AGS BJJ club on Friday morning (27th September). If you’re a Garda, come along. You don’t have to have trained before, and you’ll learn something while meeting some of the lads and girls.

Run by BJJ Black Belts and coppers Shane and Ruairí, they travel from gym to gym around the country spreading the word about Jiu Jitsu and its benefits to law enforcement. I’m delighted to host for the first time on Friday. They’re doing a great piece of work.

Enough news for now I think,

See you on the mat,

Barry
