Applied Jiu Jitsu Sessions Start from Tonight
We're always looking for ways to improve how we train and how we coach, and improve the experience of the members here too. Our Beginners get the benefit of our courses that help them integrate into Jiu Jitsu in a safe and enjoyable way, then they move on to our Core classes where most of our crew train and learn Jiu Jitsu.
As you improve, your own personal focus becomes more important. Are you a younger competitive type looking to challenge yourself and win medals? Or are you older and looking to learn our incredible martial art while staying fit and healthy? Or are you somewhere in between?
Core classes are the best method of learning Jiu Jitsu, being introduced to new techniques, and developing your Jiu Jitsu as an improver. Most people train in these sessions.
But if you are a competitor, or prefer more athletic "sport" based training, our new session, Applied Jiu Jitsu, might be for you. Once you have a minimum standard of 2 stripes on your white belt (which guarantees minimum technical level and safety), you can benefit from these sport based sessions.
Applied sessions draw upon decades of experience coaching combat sports athletes of all levels, as well as on the latest developments in the science of skills acquistion and athletic development. This isn't a "Do this 10 times now let's spar" session. This is about developing your individual skill level to improve your performance.
We hope to expand these sessions and include cohorts that can help improve people of any level, from white to black belt, male and female, and with age not a consideration.

See you on the mat,
